Cara & The Sky

Consisting of 21 pieces, priced between £32-£89, each consciously crafted design, including twist, colour and stitch combinations, have been designed and developed in house by founder Cara with the collection produced locally in the UK.

The brand focuses on creating beautiful unique knitwear, with a focus on positivity and sustainability, bringing you a high-end lux aesthetic but making it accessible to the average customer, all whilst supporting the British made fashion industry.

After being made redundant in early 2019 from her fashion buying role, Cara took the chance to chase her dream of starting her own brand. Fast forward 4 years and the brand is now stocked globally selling in over 65 independent boutiques as well as her own website & market places such as Wolf & Badger. Running the brand solely on her own, whist juggling her little girl and navigating a pandemic AND a cost of living crisis, the brand has gone from strength to strength.

Cara Says

“I want to make people feel happy, to bring them joy every time they slip on one of my cosy knits. Each style is designed to be on trend and trendless all at the same time, so you can fall in love with each piece knowing it will still be relevant next season & season to come.”

“I won’t lie that it hasn’t been challenging building a brand at a time where there is so much economic turmoil. Resilience is a lesson I have had to learn fast, but I believe in myself, in the product and with the incredible support of our stockist & our Skybabe tribe, I can’t wait to see where this next year takes us.”

An advocate for slow fashion, the brand chooses to dance to the beat of their own drum, creating timeless, high-quality and limited pieces for you to cherish this season and beyond. Their small-scale production allows for them to work closely with their suppliers while ensuring a slower approach to fashion.

By producing locally in the UK using fully audited factories the brand lowers their carbon footprint, ensures their factory workers are working in a safe environment and only uses eco-friendly packaging and labelling.

Dopamine Dressing

I am no stranger to dopamine dressing. While part of me loves the chic look of an all black outfit, I am more at home in something vibrant, that I feel reflects my personality more. I have to say my absolute favourite piece in this collection is the Marissa jumper. I’m definitely adding it to my must have list when the collection launches. I know it seems a bit mad to be thinking about knitwear in the middle of summer but I like to be prepared. I’m that person that can never find what I want when I need it!
