If you know me well you probably know how much I love a fashion event. I get even more excited when that event happens to be local. After all who wants to have to trek to London if you don’t have to. The Style Edit is a new fashion event which combines the latest trends in style, shopping, food and drink. It is taking place on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th May at The Granary Estates in Woodditton, Cambridgeshire.
The Style Edit
The event will showcase a variety of high street, independent, designer and online brands on its runway show. Some of these brands include national favourites like Ted Baker, River Island and John Lewis. Top local independents such as Martha V, La Boutique Bury and Shoehorne will also be there.
Amy Hughes, Operations Director of The Granary Estates, said: “Having recently been crowned best ‘Event Team’ in the UK at the prestigious Wedding Industry Awards 2018, we thought this would be a great way to showcase our success and expertise by organising a fashion led event celebrating local and national business.” Promising a truly unique shopping experience, The Style Edit guests will be greeted with a welcome drink, courtesy of Cambridgeshire’s Pinkster Gin, who are proud to launch their new product ‘Pinkster Royal’ a raspberry liquor to “pimp your Prosecco.”
Before the catwalk show starts you get the chance to browse handpicked pop up shops and stalls. I always enjoy this part of the night. You will quite often find a unique brand you love that you otherwise wouldn’t have come across. There will be a mix of local and national companies who will be showcasing everything from homeware to fashion and beauty.
Guests will then be invited to take their seats, ready for the runway show. Catwalk shows are generally my favourite part of events like this. I also happen to know a couple of the models so it will be great to see them on the runway. You will be shown this years spring/ summer trends before a show-stopping bridal walk.
The Style Edit also lets guests try the latest food trends from pop up kitchens and artisan food stalls with a mix of savoury and sweet delights to suit all tastes.
