This is the second post in my one bag three ways series. In case you missed it the first post featured the Givenchy Antigona worn three different ways. Today’s post focuses on the Saint Laurent Monogram Bag worn for work, weekend and an event. Before you spend hundreds, potentially thousands, on a handbag you need to know that it will fit with your lifestyle and you will get the wear out of it. You don’t want to end up wasting your money.
Saint Laurent Monogram Bag
The bag in these photos is the Saint Laurent Monogram Leather Shoulder Bag in large. It features a rectangular body, an envelope style, front flap closure, gold-tone logo plaque, gold-tone chain shoulder strap, a quilted effect and an internal zipped pocket. The bag measures: width 31cm, height 22cm, handle 30cm and depth 7cm. I also rented this bag from Borrow from Bagsy which seems to be my new favourite thing to do!
Workwear
This bag is ideal for work. I’ve been taking it to meetings since I got my hands on it and it fits everything I could possibly need. The rigid style makes it look incredibly smart and it holds my iPhone 7 Plus, notebooks, diary, iPad, purse, keys and more. I paired it with geometric print trousers, white shirt and black suede courts for a monochrome look.
Weekend
I’m still living in jeans, a shirt and boots and I love how the YSL bag dresses up the outfit. I took the bag shopping a couple of times and it was really handy to just pop my purchases in.
Event
This has been my favourite outfit recently which is a bit of a surprise. Normally I avoid dresses because they never quite fit well enough and I don’t think they suit me. I think the style of the boots and the rigid bag give it a bit more of an edge which suits my style a bit more.
I had this bag for two weeks and I loved it more than I thought I would. I’m not normally a fan of gold hardware and I thought I may struggle to style it. Actually the hardware wasn’t an issue at all and I mixed it with silver hardware which still looked good. The latest bag I have from Borrow from Bagsy is the Gucci Soho Disco in red, so look out for that post coming soon!
