I have been on the look out for new makeup brushes for ages. I’m one of those irritating people that own three brushes and I use them for everything. My poor eyeshadow brush has been coated in every shade possible. I was very kindly sent the Eco Tools Five Piece Travel Collection by Just My Look to try out.
Eco Tools Makeup Brushes
The Eco Tools Five Piece Travel Collection is made up of the brushes you need to create everyday makeup looks. The most important thing to me is that no animals were harmed in the making of these brushes, Eco Tools brushes are actually PETA certified so they are 100% cruelty free and vegan friendly. The set contains and angled liner brush, complexion blending brush, shadow smudge brush and a powder/ blush brush in a handy case. Make sure you check out the Eco Tools range at Just My Look.
Complexion Blending Brush
I actually used this brush to put my foundation on with. Normally I use a beauty blender but I have been wanting to see how a brush would compare. These brushes are super soft so I wasn’t sure whether I was going to need a lot more product than normal. The brush blending out the foundation perfectly and I was really impressed with the finish. I may actually prefer it to the beauty blender.
Powder/ Blush Brush
I am prone to quite dry skin so I never tend to use any powder. Instead I used the powder/ blush brush for bronzer. It is the perfect size for my cheekbones and around my hairline.
Shadow Smudge Brush
I wonder if this brush might be a bit small but it turned out to be ideal. It held my eyeshadow well when other brushes often drop it down my face. It was also spot on for blending darker shadow in the crease.
Angled Liner Brush
The angled liner brush is the perfect size and shape for getting close to the lash line. Full on eyeliner doesn’t really suit me but I often like to line my lashes with dark eyeshadow for a softer look. I used this brush to fill in my eyebrows too and it gave a great natural finish.
I was really impressed with Eco Tools and love that this set comes with a case. It measn you can pop the brushes in your handbag ready for touch ups without worrying about getting makeup on the lining.
Have you used Eco Tools before? What brushes do you swear by?
I love the Eco Tools kabuki brush – I use it every day for blending my foundation and concealer.

I’m actually preferring putting my foundation on with a brush over a beauty blender. I never thought I would say that!
