Week six has been a good week and overall I’ve felt pretty positive. Apart from going to get my lash extensions refilled I haven’t really been out. I have been spending my time working on some exciting collaborations and I think it makes all the difference when you have something to look forward to. It’s also not too late to check out last weeks love list!

Week Six and I’m loving…
Beauty Product
I swear by serums and if I’m feeling super lazy or in a mad rush the one thing I put on my skin will be a serum. My sister gave me a sample of the Vichy Idealia Life Serum. It transforms and protects your skin from stress, pollution etc. The serum feels really lightweight, smells nice, is non greasy and non sticky. I like how it is instantly absorbed and makes my skin feel smoother with a more even tone.
Accessory
I am in love with the Givenchy Antigona. You may have seen that I have been writing a bit of a designer series which has featured buying pre-loved handbags. To round out the series I thought it would also be a good idea to rent a handbag which is what I have done for two weeks. I have wanted to buy this bag for so long so it’s been great to test it out. My post and review will be live at the start of August as I have the bag until then.
Event
I know it is a little way off but I’m really looking forward to going to the Cambridge Home and Garden Show. It is being held in the Guildhall on 9th September and is a free event dedicated to home and garden design. The exhibition hall will be jammed packed with businesses showcasing their products and services. There will also be workshops from experts and a pop up cafe with tasty treats from Novi. Make sure you go and register your interest!
Blog Post
My blog post of the week comes from Kelly (Kelly Anne Rist) who wrote ‘Why I still (kind of) blog’. So many points she made rang true with me. Particularly the amount of other blogs I read. I used to religiously read the latest posts from my favourite bloggers but now they really have to spark my interest to get me to engage. I think it’s alway important to remind yourself why you started blogging in the first place especially when you are feeling overwhelmed by the sheer level of content out there. We all have something that we can bring to the table.
My Niche
I feel like my weekly love list has forced me to evaluate more than I would and by week six I think I’ve found my niche. There are arguments for and against having a niche. I’ve always called myself a fashion blogger first and foremost having only really recently branched out into beauty and opinion posts. I want to feature posts that I want to read. I guess by doing that I could be limiting who else would be interested.
This past couple of weeks I have been featuring designer more than before. If you know me well you will know how much I love designer fashion. I’ve always been conscious about featuring designer on the blog because anyone that does gets slated for being unrelatable. My current situation means I don’t have buckets of cash to splash on bags, to be fair I don’t know many people who do. This means I’m always looking for ways to satisfy my designer habit without getting into debt. My train of thought lead me to write posts like ‘are designer handbags worth the money?‘ and ‘why there’s no shame in buying pre-loved designer‘. I’ve loved writing these posts so I think for the time being that is where my main focus will be.
What have you been up to this week?
Wow! That bag is really awesome!
