On Wednesday night I visited Elegant Atelier in Cambridge with Ally, Becca and Sophie. The boutique is one of my favourites in the city and we had been invited along to an event they were running with AmaElla Lingerie and Neal’s Yard. The idea was that we would look through all of the pieces from the boutique along with lingerie from AmaElla and products from Neal’s Yard and put together our own summer suitcase of five items.
My Summer Suitcase
Choosing just five items proved more difficult than you would expect. I am a big fan of Elegant Atelier because it is packed full of beautiful brands that you won’t really find anywhere else. This eliminates the risk of bumping into someone wearing the same outfit!
I had heard of AmaElla Lingerie before and had checked out their website but this was the first time I had seen their pieces in real life. The brand ethically sources the finest organic cotton for a beautiful range of lingerie.
I think everyone has heard of Neal’s Yard. Neal’s Yard sells organic skincare and natural remedies. What I love is that they are ethical, sustainable, cruelty free and carbon neutral which really sets them apart.
What I Chose
Rixo London Tilly Dress
The first item was very easy to choose. When I went to an event at Elegant Atelier last year I spotted this dress. It’s such a flattering shape and its floaty silhouette is perfect for summer. I feel like I really need it in my life!
Neal’s Yard Seaweed Salt Scrub
I love a good body scrub especially as I’ve really got into wearing fake tan all the time now. A really good gritty scrub is perfect for exfoliating it off ready for a fresh application. This one smoothes and tones your skin and most importantly for me it is microbead free.
Neal’s Yard Rehydrating Rose Skincare Kit
I love little kits that contain all the products you need to introduce you to a skincare range. This one contains facial wash, toner, facial oil and moisturiser.
AmaElla Pyjama Shorts and Top
The set features beautiful lace and velvet detailing and the organic cotton is super soft. The design is just so pretty and the cut looks really flattering.
These metallic loafers are amazing. I normally live in boots which isn’t ideal in the summer months. I also hate flip flops and most flat pumps rip the back of my heels, so the fact these are backless is perfect for me. The metallic silver finish is so chic and I love the metal chain detail to the top.
Those loafers!! I’m having a real metallic shoe moment right now
I think loafers are a bit like marmite, you either love them or you hate them!
I’d also really love a pair of metallic ankle boots!
