Analysing My Most Worn Look

I thought that I would go through my wardrobe, analysing my most worn look. Why do I always wear these pieces? This links to my post on how to find your personal style and I think anyone that knows me would pick this outfit out as my typical look.

Wardrobe Tracking

There are various tricks you can use to track how much wear you are getting from your clothes. To monitor how much you wear individual pieces you can face all of the hangers in your wardrobe the wrong way and when you wear each item you replace the hanger the correct way. Any hangers that remain the wrong way after six months show you aren’t getting the wear out of your whole wardrobe and these items should be sold or given away.

I think many of us are wear the same things over and over again partly out of easy but also because we think we look good and feel confident and comfortable. I know that I am getting a lot of wear out of certain outfits when my sister points out that everytime we go out I’m wearing the same thing.

Analysing My Look

Jeans

I live in jeans, I know some people feel like they can’t relax in them, but I just find them so comfortable. They are the basis of my wardrobe. You can get away with wearing jeans everyday, out for a meal with friends, for cocktails, or on date night. They are super easy to dress up or dress down just by changing your footwear.

T-shirt

You can guarantee if you spot me out and about I will be wearing a t-shirt or a vest. I’ve come to realise that my everyday style has a somewhat throw on whatever kind of vibe about it. I tend to stick to black, grey and white as you can slot them into your outfit easily.

Blazer

I own a stupid amount of blazers in a wide range of colours but this black one is my favourite. It makes the perfect Balmain dupe as while I would love to own the real thing, they are rather out of my price range at the moment. This dupe from Missguided is spot on. The cut creates a flattering silhouette and I can wear it casually and to meetings which is a win win. The only thing I would change is the gold hardware. I generally only wear silver tone hardware so it can be quite hard when it comes to choosing my accessories.

Shoes

Heels and boots are my footwear of choice come rain or shine. You will never see me in flip flops. As I am only about 5 foot 3 I like the little extra height that heels give me. I also like how they can smarten up your look straight away.

Statement bag

I absolutely love handbags and especially bags that make a statement. That might be a designer bag as they are my weakness or a stand out bag I found on the high street. I’ve had this Lulu Guinness postcard clutch for about five years and it is a firm favourite.I love its chic style and how it injects a bit of fun into an otherwise quite plain outfit.

I would love to know if you have an outfit you wear over and over again!
