I have just realised that it has been nearly a month since I last blogged and I have to admit that I am more than a little ashamed of myself. To be honest I can’t really explain it, yes I have been busy but it is more down to the fact that I lost enthusiasm for blogging.
Back in December I completed Blogmas for the first time. I found it a bit of a challenge as I am a firm believer in not just blogging for the sake of it. It did make a nice change to try something new, but I am not sure if I would do it again. After Blogmas I did choose to take a couple of weeks off but then only really blogged two or three times between January and the beginning of March, considerably less than my normal twice a week. I guess I just didn’t have anything to say!
So what have I been up to? Well life got in the way a little and so has work. Many of you know I am self employed as a Freelance Writer and Social Media Manager, and I had made the decision to really increase my client base this year….fingers crossed! It has also been Cambridge Style Week which I work on all year managing the social media (along with an amazing team) but for a couple of weeks in March it always takes over my life. The run up to the catwalk shows is always manic, as is the aftermath!
Whats next? Well after posting on Twitter that I had lost enthusiam I then kind of gained some enthusiam, slightly weird how that happens. I hadn’t really had the time to read anyone else’s blog either so having made time for a little bloggy catch up I remembered why I started blogging in the first place. I love my blog and I still want it to just focus on fashion. I know this means I miss out on a lot and am always turning down invitations to events that don’t fit with what it is about, but fashion is what I love. I’m not sure what direction it is going to go in this year. I am tempted by my love of all things designer but am still sitting on the fence. In the mean time I sat down with my notebook and pen and made a list of things I would like to cover right now so keep your eyes peeled for SS16 trends, how to wear pieces, and OOTD posts.
