Where To Buy: The Perfect Boots

I don’t know about you but I always want to know where to head to to find the perfect clothes, shoes, and accessories. With this in mind I have added the ‘Where to buy’ series to my blog featuring the best places to shop in Cambridge, Newmarket, and Bury St Edmunds.

My favourite thing about autumn/ winter is being able to wear boots. Don’t get me wrong I pretty much live in them year round; it’s just nice not to be roasting! I have picked three of my top local independent boutiques to indulge in a spot of shoe shopping in.

First up is Modish on Green Street in Cambridge. What makes Modish great is that they road test each pair of shoes so you know you won’t suffer with each step. As well as boots they stock a wide range of shoes and sandals that can’t be found on the high street. The shop has even been recommended by The Guardian as one of the Top 100 Shoe Shops in the UK!

My nearest shoe boutique is Shoehorne who have just moved to new premises in Sun Lane, Newmarket. Shoehorne started life as a website and then expanded over the years. I visited the new store which has such a stylish, relaxing interior, and promptly fell in love with multiple pairs of boots and heels. Of course I couldn’t leave empty handed and came away with the Marco Tozzi Patricia boots shown above.

Nicola Sexton is the go to boutique in Bury St Edmunds for fabulous footwear. Found on Abbeygate Street the store stocks a variety of shoes and accessories, as well as Nicola’s own footwear brand. The Loriblu over knee boots are to die for and are probably my favourite pair on the site.

Is there a local boutique that you think I have missed> I would love to know where you like to shop for your winter footwear.

Thank you 🙂 it’s always so hard to pick just one pair! Although my bank balance stops me going crazy!
