I first came across Bunny Kitch Jewellery on Twitter when owner and designer Kimberly put out a call for fashion bloggers who may be interested in reviewing her jewellery. After taking a look at her etsy store I decided to apply and was lucky to be one of just two bloggers chosen.
Firstly I had a few questions for Kimberly on how Bunny Kitch began.
What made you start Bunny Kitch Jewellery?
I’ve always found jewellery to be over priced in high street brands such as Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and even New look. I also struggle to find pieces that I love and know I couldn’t imagine life without, so I thought if I can’t find it make it!
I thought if I have these issues finding pieces I adore maybe others have the same? So I wanted to create a brand that women could trust and didn’t break the bank to treat yourself to something new.
How do you decide what to make?
Every piece is designed with myself in mind, each pendant and Swarovski crystal element is selected based on my personal likes and dislikes. I also keep an eye on trends to see if there are any that shout out to me. I would never sell something I’m not in love with because I wouldn’t be able to show my passion for the piece.
Where do you see Bunny Kitch going?
Well, first I started BunnyKitch as a hobby but now I can see it being a brand that customers can trust. A fashionable and affordable collection of pieces to suit every occasion.
Recently, I’ve been thinking about collections since my best friend is getting married at the end of the year. I’m considering a bridal collection, most bridal jewellery is overpriced due to the “bridal” status. Therefore I want to create a beautiful and sophisticated collection at affordable prices to suit anyone’s budget.
I received the Namaste Pendant Bracelet which also features a Swarovski crystal detail. What I really like about the bracelet is that you can choose between two different lengths which is ideal for me as I have very small wrists and hands so a lot of bracelets just slip right off.
I am also the proud owner of the Fairy Necklace which reminded me of Tinkerbell so it would make a great gift for any Disney fan.
Each piece is handmade to order and Kimberly will create the piece you want so if you are after the Namaste bracelet but would like a different colour charm then she will do her best to accommodate this. The jewellery is silver plated and with other plated items the colour often comes off and leaves a green tinge but having worn the bracelet and necklace, this hasn’t happened!
If you are after getting away from high street stores then visit the Bunny Kitch Etsy store (link at the top of the page). I really think that a bridal collection would be a great idea particularly if you don’t want to spend a small fortune so I shall be keeping my eyes peeled to see what other gems Kimberly adds to the store!
I love the idea of an affordable bridal range as these can be quite expensive. Any ear cuffs though?

No ear cuffs yet but I’m definitely going to suggest some!
Beautiful jewellery and what a treat to hear from the designer herself. 🙂
