A New Approach to Fashion with Farfetch – Part One

I was thrilled to be approached by luxury fashion company Farfetch who chose to share their new and exclusive infographic with me. I am a big fan of their website which makes luxury designer fashion items from 300 high end independent boutiques available to shoppers around the world. Don’t get me wrong, I do of course shop on the high street but I love mixing these buys with designer pieces.

The Farfetch infographic has to be the prettiest I have been sent with its beautiful original watercolour fashion illustrations which showcase the latest styles. I have split the infographic in two ( so look out for the second part of my post) and given you some suggestions of pieces from the Farfetch website that fit each one.

The beauty with fashion is that you can select pieces that portray who you want to ‘be’ at that moment. With androgynous style I like to select pieces that you can adapt to either fit the trend or be paired with something else to make it more conventionally feminine. Take the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi ivory and navy blue silk striped shirt that I have selected below. You could wear this with the buttons done right up and the sleeves down with tailored trousers and brogues or slightly unbuttoned and the sleeves rolled up with a pretty patterned skirt.

A great way to introduce a hint of layering is to create a textured look. This Msgm pleated front striped dress gives that effect without adding bulk while the contrasting patterned belt highlights your waist.

While these fabulous Ermanno Scervino gem clip on drop earrings come as a pair they are just the right amount of glitz to to make a statement even when split.

A feel a hint of envy for people who can get away with wearing converse style shoes for a relaxed style, but they just aren’t for me. As I am so petite I just end up looking like a child which isn’t great for a 29 year old. I live my life in heels, boots, or when working out – trainers. These Tory Burch lace design low lace up sneakers would slot nicely into my style with their smarter look and pretty detailing.

If I were to give this look a go then I would have to pair a gold chain with these glam Oscar De La Renta flower cat eye sunglasses. Cat eye style sunnies look great on nearly everyone and the gold flower accents guve them a bit more of a dressed up feel.

I hope you have taken away some ideas for how you can incorporate the latest styles into your wardrobe. Watch out for part two of this post showcasing five more trends!
