You may remember last years post on Leren Connor’s ‘A Twisted Love Affair’ collection’, and this inspiring designer is back again with her new offering ‘The Enigma of the Androgynous’.
So much thought always goes into her collections, and this one is no different. She has put together a capsule, semi unisex collection which gives the viewer the chance to question what they consider as androgynous. It features pieces that have a boxy shape but still have an underlying tone of femininity among the layering.
Leren says “From fashion to history, to a life style choice and ambiguous sexual relationships androgynous is far and wide and there is some in all of us. The collection portrays two story’s, our campaign shots focuses more on a single women who is free with her femininity whilst being content in comfort and masculinity, where as part two of our collection takes you through the story of two wealthy beings who rebel against there wealth and are to be considered outcasts.”
I have to say that this is probably my favourite of all of Leren’s collections, this girl just keeps getting better and better! What I really like about the collection is that you could easily pick a few pieces and then mix and match to create a variety of looks. The colours are right up my street and look brilliant with the knitwear.
Make sure that you check out Leren’s website and Facebook page for more info and updates. I will also be styling a beautiful piece from this collection so make sure you keep an eye out for the post dedicated to it. It will also appear on my Instagram account.
I am looking forward to seeing what is coming next from this talented designer.
