It has been a very busy couple of weeks as Cambridge Style Week has been in full swing. As Communications Manager I was there for all three of the catwalk shows live tweeting and making sure that all the social media ran smoothly.
Attending fashion shows always makes me wonder what I will wear and this is where My VIP Wardrobe came in. Let me explain a little about the concept. Set up by Hannah Purser, My VIP Wardrobe is a virtual wardrobe where you can hire a dress of your choice, at a fraction of the cost it takes to buy one, and have it delivered straight to your door. This means that you can wear a different outfit every weekend without breaking the bank! Just select the dress you want to wear, dance the night away, and then post it back to My VIP where it will be dry cleaned and put back in the virtual wardrobe.
After much deliberation I went for ‘The Blossom’, ‘Turning Shift’, and ‘The Twinkle Dress’. Each dress fitted me perfectly, and as someone who never wears dresses I felt glam every night. It was great receiving compliments for each outfit, and in particular for ‘The Twinkle Dress’ which obviously isn’t something you can get away with wearing every night. The best compliment I received has to be from my sister who said that I should ‘dress like a girl more often’ – thanks Abi!
As well as a dress hire service, My VIP also have a range of accessories on offer to buy. Of course I was tempted by these and am now the proud owner of a Rianna Philips Portfolio Bag and a beautiful monogram ‘Danestone’ scarf.
