I was asked to take a look at the Smarter Health and Fitness website and I found it so helpful that I wanted to share it with you all. Obviously this is not quite like my other posts so I apologise if it isn’t for you, but as you know I have a keen interest in health and fitness.
The site has “a strong ethos that everyone should have a basic understanding of how their bodies work and how to optimise their workouts.” I completely agree and have found so much useful information on the site and think that it is a great resource to keep referring back to.

From talking about muscle groups, explaining HIIT, providing nutritional advice to sharing tips; its all there. particularly found the page on myths beneficial as I have always been told “sweet potatoes are better for you than white potatoes”, it was good to have it confirmed that one is not necessarily better than the other – they both have benefits. Fitness myths are also busted like “I’m a woman and if I lift weights, I’ll become massive like a guy”. I have heard girls say this so many times. STRENGTH TRAINING IS GOOD – you do not have as much testosterone as men for you to end up looking like one.

It is also worth noting that all the information provided on this site is backed up by scientific journals.
Do you use the Smarter Health and Fitness website? What info do you find most useful? If you have not visited it before, take a look and let me know what you think! x

I’ve never used this site before, as when I’m at the gym I just try to focus on whatever I feel is weak at the time, but it’s got some good tips 🙂 xx Rebecca – UK Style Blog
