What inspired you to start up the brand?

The brand was born out of a love of fashion and my obsession with dresses! It’s always been my dream to run my own fashion boutique. I went to university earning my degree in Fashion Promotion and after working in the fashion industry for several years I gained lots valuable experience that inspired me to set up the Wild Rose Boutique

How would you describe your clothes?

The Wild Rose Boutique has a girly signature style with the use of vintage style fabrics, bespoke detailing and gorgeous prints. Soft but not always sweet the boutique has an edgy undertone to the English Rose offering the latest and most directional trends.

Have you always been interested in fashion?

Yes it has always been my passion. As a child I was always dressing up and it was my dream to work in the fashion industry. I love style, design and creating different looks with playful styling.

If you weren’t in fashion what career would you have chosen?

Plan B was to become a dancer. I’ve danced all my life and was an aspiring ballet dancer but fashion and dresses took over in the end.

Which designers inspire you?

The list is endless; I adore so many different designers. I love the fun from the creative duo Meadham Kirchhoff and how each piece from their collection tells a different story.  For A/W 2013 I love Moschino Cheap & Chic and their rock and roll punk inspired collection featuring studded collars, leopard prints and creeper-inspired footwear – but let’s enjoy summer first!

If you could collaborate with any designer, who would you choose?

I’m huge fan of up and coming Australian designers, I love to follow The Hiding Tree & Lady Petrova. I’m inspired by their whimsical worlds and their individual sense of style. I would love to collaborate with them both!

Which celebrity would you love to see wearing your brand?

I have quite a few style icons but my favourite is the gorgeous Zooey Deschanel. She always looks so pretty and I love her whimsical and feminine style – she is my girl crush!

How did you get involved with HSFW?

I was contacted from one of the organisers, who found me on Twitter. Twitter is a great platform to promote the brand.

How is preparation going?

Manic! I’m so busy preparing and I run my own Kent based fashion boutique so there is always lots to do.

What are you looking forward to most about attending?

I’m looking forward to the fashion show! It’s going to be amazing seeing the collection on the runway.
