On Monday 22nd April I was lucky enough to have been invited, along with other fashion bloggers, to The Penthouse in Leicester Square for High Street Fashion Week’s Press Preview. Up and coming high street brands were given the opportunity to showcase their designs on the 7th and 8th floor overlooking the city.
The evening gave the designers the chance to promote their brand, show examples of their work, network with other brands and also meet the bloggers. I thoroughly enjoyed the night and getting the chance to find out a little bit more about the brands and have a sneaky peak at their pieces before the catwalk shows at Aura Nightclub in Mayfair. It was also great to be given the chance to meet some of the brands that I had interviewed and be able to put a face to the name. Having already spoken to quite a few of them, I already felt like I knew them well.
Some of the brands I particularly enjoyed meeting were:
Frills by AD, a brand created by the gorgeous Annaliese Dayes from BINTM and ANTM. She produces a wide variety of cute socks with frills, studs or tassels that go with every outfit!
Glitzy and Glam were on hand with scarves, rings, necklaces, earrings and many more. They have something for everyone for a very affordable price.
I absolutely love the style of Lilies of the Alley and was particularly taken with this quirky, edgy unicorn vest top.
Zoieanne has given knitwear a funky twist by producing beautiful intricate pieces. She definitely has my admiration as I highly doubt I would be able to master this, or have the patience to carry on.
I enjoyed speaking to the lovely Claire from Cat-a-cake Creations and love her unique jewellery so much that she has very kindly agreed to design a Chihuahua theme necklace for me. I can’t wait!
I also fell in love with the stylish and sophisticated jewellery from Elisha Francis and also hope to own some of her beautiful pieces.
Absolutely everyone I met was so lovely; from the designers to other bloggers, and I would like to think that I have found some great new friends. The press preview really got me excited for the event and I cannot wait to head down to Boxpark on Saturday!
